# How to make an instant backup

If you need to run a backup of your website right now, Modular DS offers a fast solution to do it at any time. You can initiate an immediate backup from two different locations on your dashboard:

### 1. From the dashboard widget

* Navigate to your website overview.
    
* Find the corresponding widget and click on the "Create Backup" button.

### 2. From the backup section

* Access the backup section of your website.
    
* Locate and click on the "Create Backup" button.

### Confirming the process

After selecting the option to backup now, a confirmation pop-up will be displayed.

You will need to confirm the action to start the backup process.
