# Problem displaying the changelog of a plugin in Modular

In the Modular Updater, you can easily access the changelog of each plugin that is due for an update. This feature is designed to allow you to review the changes that each new version incorporates before you decide to update.

Accessing the changelog is as simple as clicking on the version number of the plugin that is available for update.

However, it may happen that when you try to view the changelog of a plugin, you do not find the information available.

## Why does this happen?

This inconvenience is usually due to how Modular obtains this data. The platform reads the changelog directly from the information provided in the official WordPress repository. Therefore, if the plugin is not hosted in the official repository or it is a premium version that does not publish its changelog there, Modular will not be able to display this information.
