How to view your website's update history

The update history records every version change on a website: plugins, themes, and WordPress. Not just the updates you run from Modular DS, but also the ones you make directly in WordPress.

The difference is when they appear. The ones you run from Modular DS are recorded right away, automatically. The ones you make directly in WordPress are detected when the website syncs again with Modular DS, which usually happens every 8 to 12 hours.

You can check the history whenever you want, with the details of what was updated, when, and to which version.

How to access the history

1. Go to the website you want to check

In your Modular DS dashboard, open the website whose history you want to review and go to the "Overview" section.

2. Click "View history"

In the top right of the updates block you'll find the "View history" button. Clicking it opens the "Update history" window.

Filter what you want to see

Inside "Update history" you have two filters.

In the "View" dropdown you choose the type of update: "All updates", "Plugin updates", "Theme updates", or "WordPress updates".

In "Date range" you set the period you want to review. By default it shows the last 14 days, and you can adjust it to the period you need.

For each update you'll see the date, the time, and the version change, for example from 1.6.7 to 1.7.0.

When you're done, close the window with "Close".
