User management in Modular DS
User management in Modular DS is key to collaborate efficiently and securely with your team and your clients. Thanks to the Multiuser feature (available on PRO plans), you can grant access to other people and assign them specific roles according to their needs and responsibilities.
Here's how to manage users in Modular DS in a simple way.
Follow these steps to invite new users to your organization:
Access the users page:
From the left side menu of the main control panel, select the Users option.
Click on “+Invite user”:
You will find this button at the top right of the page.
Customize the access:
Enter the email address of the user you wish to invite.
Select the appropriate role according to the level of access you want to grant.
User roles:
Owner: Full control over the organization, websites, users, subscriptions and payment methods.
Administrator: Can manage all general settings, teams and websites of the organization, but does not have access to billing or payment methods.
Contributor: Ideal for members of your team. Can perform maintenance tasks on assigned websites and add new ones, but cannot delete them, manage teams or invite other users.
Viewer: Designed for your clients. This role only allows them to view the information of the assigned websites, without being able to make changes or maintenance tasks.
If you select Collaborator or Reader, you will have to specify which websites or teams they will have access to. The Owner and Administrator roles always have full access to all the organization's websites.
Send the invitation:
Once the access has been configured, click on Send invitation.
You will be able to check the status of the invitations in the user panel and resend them if necessary.
⚠️ Note: Invitations automatically expire if not accepted within 7 days.
If you need to remove access to a user, follow these steps:
Go to the users page from the side menu.
Locate the user you wish to remove and click on the icon next to their role.
Select the Delete user option and confirm the action.
The user will immediately lose access to the organization and its associated websites.
With these tools, Modular DS allows you to work collaboratively, ensuring that each user has the level of access they need.
